What do you like about the school?
Relationships to teachers and peers are often crucial
factors for success.

What don't you like about the school?
Students are surprisingly candid and often will give
you blunt answers, but do not overemphasize the remarks
of one child.
|
| 3 |
What did you learn in math/English/history/science
class today?
Can the students remember what they did today?
Are they excited about it?
Again, do not overemphasize any one answer, but instead
put it in the perspective of the entire process.

What happens if you do not do your
homework?
What are the consequences?
Do they feel punitive, toothless or appropriate.
Remember there are many reasons, besides laziness, that
prevents a student from doing homework.

What happens when you do poorly on
a test?
Don't focus on the bad grade.
Concentrate on how the school intends to help a student
learn and improve.
